Biological Safety Cabinet

Bio-cleanair Class IIA/B3 Biohazard Safety Cabinets provide personnel, product, and environment protection. Class II Cabinets differ in the proportion as 70% air is re-circulated within the cabinet through high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration.

Bio Safety Cabinets

Bio-Safety Cabinets Class II Type B2

Recommended for product, personnel & environment protection only. Air balancing: 0% re-circulation & 100% exhaust with incineration

Bio-clean air vertical laminar flow class II type B2 bio hazard safety cabinets provide personnel, product, and environmental protection. This series of Laminar Flow Cabinets are referred to as "total exhaust" cabinets because the 100% contaminated air is exhausted to the atmosphere after HEPA filtration's without re-circulating in the cabinet.

Class II Type B1 Bio-Safety Cabinet

Bio-Safety Cabinets Class II Type B1 also known as “Bio-cleanair” The Class I biohazard safety cabinet is maintained under negative pressure, ventilated cabinet usually operated with an open front. All of the air from the cabinet is exhausted through a HEPA either into the laboratory or to the out side. The Class I BSC is designed for general microbiological research with low-and moderate-risk agents, and is useful for containment of mixers, blenders, and other equipment. These Biosafety Cabinets are not appropriate for handling research materials that are vulnerable to airborne contamination, since the inward flow of unfiltered air from the laboratory can carry microbial contaminants into the cabinet.

Class II Type A1

Class II Bio-Safety Cabinets/B3 Bio hazard Safety Cabinets provide personnel, product, and environment protection. Class II Cabinets differ in the proportion as 70% air is re-circulated within the cabinet through high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration. Velocity of airflow to the work zone of Biosafety Cabinet creates an ultra-clean environment for product protection, where the remaining exhaust air is discharged out.

Features :

  • The filter assembly is constructed in accordance with EN1822 requirements.
  • All contaminated plenums are surrounded by negative pressure, virtually eliminating filter perimeter leaks.
  • The backward curved wheel with external rotor motor delivers class leading energy efficiency for lower operating costs.
  • Unique raised armrest design elevates the operator's arms to prevent inflow grille blockage which may compromise safety.
  • The cabinet work zone has no welded joints to collect contaminants or rust.
  • Glass sides eliminate the feeling of "working in a box", enhance cabinet lighting, and permit observation of procedures.
  • Actual sash opening is larger than tested opening, and improves reach into the work zone without compromising safety.
  • Programmable automatic UV light timer simplifies operation while extending UV lamp life and saving energy.
  • Built-in warm white, electronically ballasted, 5000k lighting provides excellent illumination of the work zone and reduces operator fatigue. The reliable lighting system is zero-flicker and instant start.
  • Powder coated work zone rear wall eliminates harsh reflections which may be associated with conventional stainless steel interiors.
  • Cabinets are KI-Discus tested on a sampling basis for performance integrity.
  • Bioclean cabinets are warranted for 3 years excluding consumable parts and accessories.
  • Additional IQ/OQ documentation is available upon request.

Class II Bio-Safety Cabinets

Class II Bio-Clean air Cabinets/B3 Biohazard Safety Cabinets Type A2 provide personnel, product, and environment protection. Class II Cabinets differ in the proportion as 70% air is re-circulated within the cabinet through high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration. Velocity of airflow to the work zone creates an ultra-clean environment for product protection, where the remaining exhaust air is discharged out.

An internal blower draws sufficient room air through the front grille to maintain a minimum calculated or measured average inflow velocity of at least 75 lfpm at the face opening of the cabinet. The supply air flows through a HEPA filter and provides particulate-free air to the work surface. Laminar airflow reduces turbulence in the work zone and minimizes the potential for cross contamination. An unducted Class II type A is not to be used for work involving volatile or toxic chemicals. The buildup chemical vapors in the cabinet (by re-circulated air) and in the laboratory (from exhaust air) could create health and safety hazards.

Features :

  • Unique Bio Clean Dynamic Chamber™ plenum.
  • Negative pressure plenum surrounds contaminated positive pressure plenum; no fabric bags are used.
  • Dual, long-life ULPA filters for supply and exhaust (per IEST-RP-CC001.3) with 99.999% efficiency for particle size between 0.1 to 0.3 microns.
  • Angled supply filter matches cabinet profile to achieve best downflow uniformity.
  • Bioclean Sentinel™ microprocessor.
  • Frameless, shatterproof sash is easier to clean.
  • Ergonomically angled front improves reach and comfort.
  • Actual work access height is 45 mm (1.8") higher than tested sash opening.
  • Removable one-piece work surface simplifies cleaning.
  • Raised airflow grille maintains safety by preventing blockage.
  • Optional UV lamp is located behind control panel away from line of sight. (Does not apply to 1.8 m / 6' models.)
  • Bioclean antimicrobial coating on all painted surfaces minimizes contamination.
  • Enhanced side-capture zones optimize containment.
  • Work area on Esco 0.9 meter (3') cabinet is equivalent to work area offered on larger 1.2 meter (4') conventional cabinet.

Class III Bio-Safety Cabinets

Class III Bio-Safety Cabinets is recommended for Product, Personnel & Environment protection only Air Balancing: 100% exhaust with incineration & working zone under negative

Bio-clean air Class III biological safety cabinet was designed for work with Microbiological agents assigned to bio safety level 4, and provides maximum protection To the environment and the worker. Access for passage of materials into the cabinet is through a double-door pass-through box that can be decontaminated between uses. Both supply and exhaust air are HEPA filtered. The exhaust air must pass through the Two HEPA Filters, or a HEPA filtered and an air incinerator, before discharge to the outdoors. Airflow is maintained by a dedicated independent exhaust exterior to the cabinet, which keeps the cabinet under negative pressure.

Arm-length, heavy-duty rubber gloves are attached in a gas-tight manner to ports in the cabinet and allow for manipulation of the materials isolated inside. Although these gloves restrict movement, they prevent the users direct contact with the hazardous materials.

Features :

  • Exhaust air is double-filtered through high-quality ULPA filters (per IEST-RP-CC-001.3) with typical efficiency of >99.999% for 0.1 to 0.3 micron particles, better than HEPA filters.
  • Exclusive dual exhaust filters provide >100,000 times better protection than single-stage designs.
  • Microprocessor-based Esco Sentinel™ Silver control system provides visual / audible alarms for airflow.
  • Magnehelic pressure gauge* is mounted in the rear of the work zone for at-a-glance monitoring of work zone negative pressure.
  • Neoprene™ gauntlets are single piece leak-tested glove assemblies which guarantee maximum protection.
  • An integrated pass-through with interlocking doors, permits materials transfer without risk of environmental contamination.
  • ISOCIDE antimicrobial surface on all painted surfaces minimizes contamination.
  • An angled cabinet front ensures an ergonomic working posture.
  • Cabinet operates at negative pressure relative to the laboratory in order to prevent migration of pathogenic materials out of the work area.
